Priestly

So now that I have a LOOKBOOK.NU, I guess I have to collage my pictures like this, haha. Anyway, a few weeks ago at a thrift store I ran across this clerical shirt and I thought it was great so I had to have it, unfortunately it didn't come with the collar so I had to buy it from http://www.catholicsupply.com

It took forever to come in but it finally did!

Worn with Vintage Jacket, GAP Jeans, Black Leather Belt from GUESS?, and Rodolfo Valentino shoes.

Some pictures I took over Spring Break I didn't get around to posting yet. So sue me!

Found this amazing jacket at a vintage store in Delaware Ohio. Very kimono-esque, very Jean-Paul Paula, very Sonny Groo. Anyway, in the first image I'm wearing the jacket with jersey drop crotch pants I made and heel booties.

Grace Jones Tee
Vintage 80's Jacket
Alexander McQueen Jeans
Alexander McQueen Skull Chain
Vintage White Gloves
Black Heel Booties

Uh, I got kind of distracted from the point of these pictures and put on my Burberry Trench.

Then I put it on inside out and wore it with my Bernhard Willhelm gladiator sandals.

Any guesses to where this scarf came from? It's kind of embarrassing actually.

Just a quick note, I recently got my own lookbook.nu account and added a lookbook thingy to the right side of the blog. Hype my looks!! :)

McQueen Jacket

Okay, apparently Alexander McQueen is the only thing that motivates me to blog on here. This is the first post I've made since his passing (which was very upsetting to me) but I've moved on and continue to be deeply inspired by the work he's left the world.

Anyway, today I came across this amazing McQueen jacket which I tried on and (of course) it was exactly my size and was marked down from over $2400 but was (of course) still beyond my bank account so I had to let it go... But not before taking almost 30 pictures in the dressing room. (Don't worry, I edited it down for the sake of this post.) Excuse the picture quality, I just used my phone...

Ehh, ignore my underwhelming shopping outfit, I didn't expect to run into any McQueen today. haha.

Of course it's blue which is my color... Look at my eyes! Ehhh

The fabric was kind of wearing away at the edges which helped ease the pain of not buying it... The fabric was a beautiful jacquard with a ocean/sky motif, and the buttons were a really beautiful iridescent color. Also my skin isn't really that yellow, I promise.

Right so I didn't buy the jacket but I bought these pants. Which are really qt and have blue and white stripes and removable, fabric suspenders & were so short that I don't need to hem them for once. Yay!

McQueen Chain

I have to admit that I haven't had a lot of motivation to update lately.

But with this photoshoot specifically I'd intended to make a post here. :) That, and I'm still procrastinating from scheduling classes....

Christian Lacroix for Evian, glass bottle of water (gift from my sister last year.)

Golden pearl brooch (vintage)

Alexander McQueen cardholder I bought a few months ago I still hadn't photographed. Surrounded by various accessories.

My order from McQueen finally arrived a few days ago.

It's a chain with a skull on it, made of brass with a gold finish.

The eyes are tiny crystals.

When I saw this chain on his website my first thought wasn't to wear it on my belt, but on a denim jacket between the two front chest pockets. I thought it would be cool to wear with a lot of denim and a sweatshirt like this one.

Aquascutum trench
Vintage Levi's denim jacket
Cleveland Indians sweatshirt
Alexander McQueen chain
2 vintage brooches
Black GUESS belt
Brown camera bag strap worn as belt
Mario Tomei jeans
Thrifted brown shoes

FCUK tee, worn with a necklace I made with polymer clay.

This shot is mostly to show that I hemmed my jeans with gold metallic thread. I was looking for thread that matched the thread they used to construct the jeans but nothing we had was close, and I thought it would be an interesting detail to use gold metallic thread, so I did.

Vintage Dior sweater.

I thought it might be cool to wear the McQueen chain with something very formal like this.

Alexander McQueen skull chain (worn as necklace)
Vintage Christian Dior sweater
Vintage Gianni Versace trousers
Thrifted wool tuxedo blazer

Worn with McQueen scarf I bought last Christmas

Burberry cashmere scarf I "borrowed" from my mother for an indeterminate amount of time
Company 81 denim jacket
Old Navy tie
GAP corduroy pants
Alexander McQueen skull chain
Timberland boots from 8th grade (hehe)

That's it for now... Now that I have my own digital camera again (I'd lost mine last May, and was borrowing my mother's) I hope to update more frequently (though class is starting again soon so we'll see. :) )
